Els has a Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in English.  She lives in Tooele, Utah with her amazing husband, three sons, and their soccer-ball-crazed dog, Ursa Minor, two cats, Circe (CC) and Pandora, and a flock of chickens and ducks.  She enjoys reading fantasies, mysteries and anything by Brandon Sanderson.  Her favorite comics are Girl Genius, Calvin and Hobbes, and anything with Batman.
